The In Home Behavioral Health Program was developed for families involved
in services with the Washington County Department of Social Services who are
at risk of having their children removed or have had children removed and
have not responded to traditional parenting classes or intervention.
What services are offered?
Potomac Case Management Services offers one-on-one parenting skills education
specific to the family and the particular situation. Methods of intervention
utilized include person-to-person education, simply written support materials,
hands-on modeling to parents, observation and additional support training
in areas that still appear to have a deficit.
Who can make referrals?
All families are identified by DSS social workers who make the referrals
to this program and identify the basic needs of the family that are needed
to improve for children to remain or be returned to home.
