Intensive Adult Foster Care

The Intensive Adult Foster Care Program is developed to assist those adults with a chronic, severe mental illness that prohibits them being able to live independently.

PCMS oversees 3 group homes that allow the adults to have 24/7 supervision to ensure their safety and maintain “community living” versus institutional living. PCMS must maintain group homes that support family living and provide case management services to the residents of those group homes. Often mediation and coordination of care must be developed between the group home staff and residents due to the persistent behavioral issues present with the residents from their mental illness.
